The runway is where every Makeup Mania round is decided. Styling ends, looks walk one by one, the room votes, rewards drop. Simple on paper — but there is a real skill in building looks that survive those few seconds of judgment, and in reading the results so your next round gets better. What happens on the runway

When styling time ends, each player’s look is presented on the runway for the room to see. The other nine players are your judges. There is no live movement phase to master — the walk is your look speaking for itself, which is exactly why the game rewards readable design choices over dense detail.

What reads well at runway distance:

• A clear palette tied to the theme
• Symmetric liner and brows (the vanity tutorial covers the checks)
• Lashes and hair that frame the face instead of covering it

What rarely reads: tiny freckle clusters of indistinguishable color, five competing accents, an interpreted theme that only makes sense with an explanation.

How star voting works

After the walks, players vote for the looks they liked best — the game’s star voting. Two structural facts shape the whole economy:

1. Ten players per server. Every vote is a large share of the total. A look that connects with even a few voters can place well.
2. Everyone is both contestant and judge. You walk, then you watch and vote.

Rewards are then paid out based on voting results. The developers describe earning rewards through rounds and voting but have not published exact values — any specific coin numbers on fan pages are unverified and can shift while the beta updates. How to get more votes

Interpret the theme visibly

Style the full frame

Paint is half the score. Hair changes the face’s silhouette; lashes set the eyes’ mood — especially since the Lash Tech Update put lash content in the spotlight (see lashes and hair styling). A five-star face with default hair loses to a well-framed good face most nights.

Design for three seconds

Ask: does this read from the back of the room, in motion, at a glance? Bold color blocking, one signature accent, clean symmetry. Test it with the zoom-out check at the vanity before styling time ends.

Voting honestly and quickly is not just etiquette — it is the best free coaching in the game:

• Watch every walk. Each round shows you nine other interpretations of the same brief.
• Ask why a look placed. Palette discipline? Lash choice? One unforgettable accent?
• Vote for interpretation. Rewarding the best read of the theme — not the loudest look — trains your own eye for the next round.

Reading your results

After payout, do a 30-second debrief. Did the look match the theme? Did the palette show up on the runway at all? Which winner choices can you steal ethically (concepts, not copies)?
